गेमिंग कंपनियों को वित्त मंत्रालय ने बड़ी राहत दी है, वित्त मंत्री निर्मला सीतारमण ने कहा है कि ऑनलाइन गेमिंग पर 28% जीएसटी 1 अक्टूबर 2023 से लागू है, इससे पहले की पीरियड में यह लागू नहीं होगा, यानि रेट्रोस्पेक्टिव जीएसटी नहीं लगेगा। इसी आधार पर जीएसटी विभाग ने बहुत सारी गेमिंग कंपनियों को जीएसटी नोटिस भेजा हुआ है।

लोकसभा में सीजीएसटी (दूसरा संशोधन) विधेयक पर चर्चा के दौरान, सीतारमण ने साफ किया, “गेम में जीत का वैल्यूवेशन प्रोस्पेक्टिव है। इसलिए, इस पर कोई भ्रम नहीं होना चाहिए।” बीजू जनता दल की सांसद सर्मिष्ठा सेठी के सवालों का जवाब देते हुए उन्होंने दोहराया कि कंपनियों और व्यक्तियों पर टैक्स रेट 28% है।

दरअसल जीएसटी काउंसिल की अगस्त की बैठक के बाद वित्त मंत्रालय का यह स्पष्टीकरण आया है, जिसमें ऑनलाइन गेमिंग पर 28% जीएसटी की सिफारिश की गई थी। वित्त मंत्रालय ने वैल्यूवेशन की रूपरेखा तैयार की, जिसमें इस बात पर जोर दिया गया था कि कर 1 अक्टूबर से यह लागू होगा और इससे पहले वाली गेम्स, उनमें जमा रकम और जीत पर यह लागू नहीं होगा। हालांकि वित्त मंत्री ने जीएसटी अधिकारियों के ऑनलाइन गेमिंग कंपनियों को भेजे गए टैक्स नोटिस पर कुछ नहीं बोला, इन नोटिस में गेमिंग कंपनियों को ₹1.12 लाख करोड़ से अधिक के नोटिस 1 अक्टूबर 2023 से पहले खेले गए गेम्स पर दिए गए थे।

दरअसल गेम्सक्राफ्ट को दिए गए 21 हज़ार करोड़ रुपये के रेट्रोस्पेक्टिव जीएसटी नोटिस के बाद से लगातार इस मसले पर जीएसटी विभाग गेमिंग कंपनियों को रडार पर रखे हुए है। लगभग सभी गेमिंग कंपनियों को नोटिस भेजे गए हैं। इनमें से कई कंपनियों ने कोर्ट का सहारा लिया था और वहां उन्हें स्टे मिल गया था। इसके बाद अब जाकर वित्त मंत्री ने यह स्पष्टीकरण दिया है।

JetSynthesys ने ग्लोबल ई-क्रिकेट प्रीमियर लीग (GEPL) का पहला संस्करण लॉन्च किया है, जो कि रियल क्रिकेट 24 (RC 24) पर एक क्रिकेट ई-स्पोर्ट्स और इंटरटेंमेंट लीग है, जो कंपनी की ही एक मोबाइल क्रिकेट सिमुलेशन गेम है। इसके लिए कंपनी ने एआई क्रिएटर टेक कंपनी एनिमेटा के साथ करार किया है।

इसपर जेटसिंथेसिस के फाउंडर और सीईओ राजन नवानी ने कहा कि “क्रिकेट पश्चिम से हमारे पास आया लेकिन आज, मुझे यह कहते हुए गर्व हो रहा है कि हमारे मेड-इन-इंडिया रियल क्रिकेट और जीईपीएल ने भारत में क्रिकेट दुनिया में एक्सपोर्ट करने की तैयारी कर ली है।” एनिमेटा से हमें सही प्रभावशाली लोगों को शामिल करने और इन क्रिएटर्स के प्रभाव को ज्यादा से ज्यादा पहुंचाने सही प्रभावशाली रणनीति में मदद मिली है।

जीईपीएल के सीईओ रोहित पोटफोडे ने इस नई लीग पर कहा कि इस साझेदारी ने उन्हें क्रिकेट, गेमिंग और मनोरंजन में प्रसिद्ध प्रभावशाली लोगों को शामिल किया है, ताकि विभिन्न दर्शकों तक हम पहुंचे। फिलहाल इस लीग में 8 प्रसिद्ध लोगों को जोड़ा गया है, इनमें प्रसिद्ध हास्य जोड़ी फंचो (श्याम और ध्रुव), ईपीआर जैसे प्रसिद्ध व्यक्तित्व, जिन्हें संथानम श्रीनिवासन अय्यर, एक उल्लेखनीय रॉक और हिप-हॉप रैपर और कई अन्य रचनाकारों के रूप में भी जाना जाता है, साथ ही लोकप्रिय गेमिंग निर्माता श्रीमान लीजेंड ने एक फैन मीट का आयोजन किया।

अनिमेटा में ब्रांडेड कंटेंट और क्रिएटर प्रोजेक्ट्स के वरिष्ठ उपाध्यक्ष विश्वमित्र रे ने अभियान की सफलता के लिए विश्वसनीय और प्रासंगिक आवाज़ों के चयन और कंटेंट में लाने के महत्व पर कहा कि, “चाहे वह रचनाकारों द्वारा किए गए सोशल मीडिया पोस्ट के लिए हो या विशेष रूप से जीईपीएल के लिए बनाए गए गीत के लिए – हमने दर्शकों के बारे में सार्वभौमिक अंतर्दृष्टि पर गहराई से गौर किया, जिनका ध्यान हम खींचने की कोशिश कर रहे थे।”

चिप्स चोरों से क्यों परेशान हैं गोवा कैसिनो मालिक?

गोवा के कैसिनो मालिक (Goa casino) इन दिनों दिल्ली के चोरों से परेशान हैं, जोकि कैसिनों से लाखों रुपये के चिप्स चुराकर वहीं बेचकर फरार हो रहे हैं, ऐसी दो बड़ी घटनाएं हो चुकी है, छोटी घटनाएं तो अक्सर होती ही रहती हैं। ताजा मामले में पणजी(Goa panjim) के नियो मैजेस्टिक कैसीनो में 13 लाख रुपये के कैसीनो चिप्स चोरी हुई है। दिल्ली से कैसिनो में जुआ खेलने आए दो लोगों ने कैसिनो में चिप्स चुराई और फिर बेचकर फरार हो गए। गोल्डन पीस होटल्स एंड रिजॉर्ट के निदेशक मुकेश गुलाटी ने गोवा पुलिस में शिकायत दर्ज कराई है।

मुकेश गुलाटी ने बताया कि, दिल्ली के सुनील कुमार और केडी ठकराल नाम के दो लोगों ने नियो मैजेस्टिक कैसीनो में चोरी को अंजाम दिया। टाइम्स ऑफ इंडिया की रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक, शिकायत के अनुसार, दोनों ने बाद में अनिल मोदी नाम के एक व्यक्ति को रियायती दर पर 13 लाख रुपये के कैसीनो चिप्स सस्ती कीमत पर बेच दिए।

इससे पहले 2017 में पोरवोरिम में इसी तरह दो लोगों ने कैसिनो चिप्स चोरी कर उन्हें सस्ती दरों पर बेच दिया था। तब बृजबान सिंह और देवेंद्र प्रताप सिंह ने एक ऑफश्योर कैसीनो से चिप्स चोरी किए थे और इन्हें कैसीनो परिसर में ही बेच भी दिया था। यह दोनों भी 10 लाख मूल्य के कैसीनो चिप्स के साथ कैसीनो परिसर से भागने में सफल रहे थे। सुनील कुमार और केडी ठकराल फिलहाल गिरफ्तार नहीं हुए हैं, पुलिस इन दोनों आरोपियों की तलाश कर रही हैं।

Maharashtra govt has announced SIT on Mahadev app scam

After the demand for SIT on Mahadev App scam in Delhi, Maharashtra government has announced to form a special investigation team on this matter. Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has announced that in the next two months it will report on the links of the scam mastermind Saurabh Chandrakar with terrorist Dawood Ibrahim and a Mumbai builder.
Responding to a call-in-attention by Ashish Selar, MLA of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that the ED is investigating the matter.
In the call in attention, MLA Ashish Selar said that this app is registered in CARACAS city of Venezuela, while it operates from Dubai. Who has created more than 67 websites. Therefore there is an issue of jurisdiction of Indian agencies. This app has three partners, which include Saurabh Chandrakar, Ravi Uppal and Amit Sher, out of which Ravi Uppal has been arrested in Dubai.
Selar said that the players playing on this app have to first deposit money in a small bank and then send the screen shot of depositing the money to the operator on Telegram or WhatsApp. Only after this the bet can be placed.
Sellar said that Andelweiss Group Chairman Rashesh Shah had provided financial support to this app. Who has relations with Dawood’s brother Mustaqeem.

Viacom18’s suit against FairPlay results in the arrest of key stakeholder

During the unprecedented success of IPL 2023, Viacom18 was locked in legal battle against the betting website ‘FairPlay’ for the latter’s unfair practices. This update comes on the heels of the arrest of Gulam Abbas Muni, a key figure behind FairPlay’s operations in India. The saga, originating in early 2023 with the media buzz surrounding IPL, has unfolded with the entertainment network taking due legal recourse in the face of infringement of their IP.

Anil Lale, General Counsel, Viacom18 Media Pvt. Ltd., commented on the matter, stating, “The unlawful streaming made it imperative for us to intervene promptly. After almost a whole year of persistence we now have one of the perpetrators behind bars. In such cases prompt action is of utmost importance. The damage caused was not just financial but also to our reputation. At Viacom18, we consistently strive to stay ahead of infringers/pirates through proactive legal measures and will continue to do so.”

Taking advantage of the hype around IPL 2023, the online betting platform ‘FairPlay’ falsely advertised across print, digital media, and hoardings in Mumbai and other major cities. Not only endorsing the gaming/betting website but also illicitly associating it with the IPL, using taglines like “Watch IPL for Free, LIVE”. Subsequently, it was revealed that IPL 2023 was being unlawfully streamed on the FairPlay platform.

Having secured the digital rights for IPL from BCCI for a period of 5 years, Viacom18 took swift measures by seeking a pre-infringement injunction. By an order dated 21st December 2022 passed by the Hon’ble Madras High Court, more than 4,750 specified websites, Internet Service Providers (ISPs), unknown parties were restrained from streaming/hosting/downloading/exhibiting/transmitting or making available content that violates Viacom18’s rights in the IPL.

On 19th April 2023, the Hon’ble Madras High Court granted an Injunction against FairPlay, thereby restraining the unauthorized digital streaming/hosting/downloading/exhibiting/transmitting of the IPL 2023 on the FairPlay website, including any advertisements. Given FairPlay’s infringement of Viacom18’s rights, Viacom18 filed a suit before the Madras High Court and filed an application for Interim Injunction against FairPlay.

Furthering their commitment to protecting their rights, Viacom18 filed a criminal complaint before the Maharashtra Cyber Digital Crime Unit (MCDCU) against FairPlay and its owners and distributors, namely Abbas, Penny, and Joe, for copyright infringement, criminal conspiracy, and cheating, among other offenses, thus enforcing Viacom18’s rights in IPL.

After months of thorough investigation, on 12th December 2023, the MCDCU successfully arrested Abbas, one of the prime accused. The perpetrator Gulam Abbas Muni was produced before the Court on the same day and has been remanded to police custody until the next date.

In conclusion, through prompt and proactive actions, Viacom18 has continued their fight against piracy, resulting in a successful enforcement of its rights and reducing piracy.

ऑनलाइन गेमिंग इंडस्ट्री को रेगुलेट करने के लिए केंद्रीय गृह मंत्री अमित शाह के नेतृत्व वाले मंत्रियों के समूह (जीओएम) का पहले इंडिया फाउंडेशन (पीआईएफ) ने स्वागत किया है। पीआईएफ ने जीओएम में “लॉटरी रेगुलेशन रिफार्म” पर भी विचार करने की अपील की है। इस जीओएम की पहली बैठक 15 दिसंबर को होने जा रही है। जिसमें मनी लाउंड्रिंग रोकने पर भी विचार किया जाएगा।
फाउंडेशन ने भारत में लॉटरी, लॉटरी के रेगुलेशन और इसकी सामाजिक फंडिंग की संभावनाओं पर एक विस्तृत स्टडी की है। स्टडी के मुताबिक, लॉटरी रेगुलेशन एक्ट 25 साल पुराना हो गया है और इतने सालों में काफी कुछ बदल गया है। पिछले कुछ सालों में घर घर इंटरनेट के पहुंचने के बाद लॉटरी रेगुलेशन एक्ट 1998 और लॉटरी रेगुलेशन रुल्स 2010 में लॉटरी प्लेयर्स की उम्र और उसके पैसे की सुरक्षा को लेकर कोई प्रावधान नहीं हैं। साथ ही विदेशों से ऑफश्योर लॉटरी कंपनियां भारत में अवैध तरीके से ऑपरेट कर रही हैं, जोकि भारत के लिए गंभीर चिंता की बात है, जिसपर तुरंत ध्यान दिया जाना चाहिए।
स्टडी में सभी राज्यों की लॉटरी को लेकर वर्तमान स्थिति पर स्टडी में पाया गया है कि 10 राज्य ही फिलहाल लॉटरी चला रहे हैं। जिनके लॉटरी चलाने के तरीके काफी पुराने हो गए हैं और इनमें पारदर्शिता की भारी कमी है। नई तकनीकों का इस्तेमाल कर लॉटरी चला रहे राज्यों में भी लॉटरी ऑपरेशन में पारदर्शिता आ सकती है। इस स्टडी में दुनिया के 10 बड़े लॉटरी ऑपरेटिंग देशों को भी शामिल किया गया था, जिसमें पाया कि वहां तकनीक का इस्तेमाल कर बच्चों और लोगों के पैसे की सुरक्षा बेहतर तरीके से की जा रही है। साथ ही साथ लॉटरी के पैसे से सामाजिक योजनाओं को भी फंड किया जा रहा है।

ऑनलाइन गेमिंग प्लेटफॉर्म एमपीएल (मोबाइल प्रीमियर लीग) ने एनएफटी मार्केटप्लेस गुड गेम एक्सचेंज (जीजीएक्स) को खरीद लिया है। इसमें मौजूदा निवेशकों के टोकन भी शामिल है।

रेगुलेटरी फाइलिंग के अनुसार जीजीएक्स को 12.75 मिलियन डॉलर में अधिग्रहित किया गया था। लेनदेन में मौजूदा निवेशकों को 25.19 लाख सीरीज ई वरीयता शेयर जारी किए गए हैं।

दोनों के बीच साझेदारी पिछले साल के अंत में टी20 क्रिकेट विश्व कप से पहले शुरू हुई जब एमपीएल ने जीजीएक्स में 20% हिस्सेदारी खरीदी थी। साझेदारी के जरिए एमपीएल ने अपने वेब3-आधारित फंतासी गेमिंग प्लेटफॉर्म स्ट्राइकर पर खिलाड़ियों के बीच डिजिटल रूप से विकसित कार्ड की ट्रेडिंग की योजना बनाई है। इस बीच, एनएफटी की बात करें तो यह डिजिटल तौर पर वस्तुओं को खरीदने का नया तरीका है।
एमपीएल ने अंतरराष्ट्रीय गेमिंग बाजार में भी अपना विस्तार शुरू किया है। इसने इस साल मई में अफ़्रीका में अपनी सेवाएं शुरू कीं। विशेष रूप से, ऑनलाइन गेमिंग कंपनियां वर्तमान में बढ़े हुए जीएसटी बोझ और कर चोरी नोटिस का सामना कर रही हैं। इसके कारण, कई कंपनियों ने खुद को बचाए रखने के लिए या तो अपने कर्मचारियों की संख्या कम कर दी है या ऑपरेशन को पूरी तरह से बंद कर दिया है। एमपीएल ने 28 परसेंट जीएसटी दर की घोषणा के तुरंत बाद अगस्त में 350 कर्मचारियों को नौकरी से निकाल दिया था।

दूसरी ओर, एनएफटी और वेब3-आधारित गेमिंग बाजार अभी भी नियमों और टैक्स के मामले में ग्रे बिजनेस माना जा रहा है। अपार संभावनाएं होने के बावजूद, एनएफटी बाजार ने पिछले दो वर्षों में कई बुरे दौर देखे हैं। इसके बावजूद, अभी भी कई Web3-आधारित NFT गेमिंग प्लेटफ़ॉर्म हैं जो अभी भी खिलाड़ियों के बीच लोकप्रिय हैं। स्ट्राइकर उनमें से एक है जो रारियो द्वारा मुकदमे सहित कई समस्याओं का सामना करने के बावजूद काम कर रहा है।

The said event SPiCE India is being organized by Eventus International Limited and its CEO Yudi Soetjiptadi, COO Lou-Mari Burnett, COO Josh Blom along with other foreigners are likely to be present in the country, without taking due permission from Ministry of Home Affairs and /or other relevant authorities, while entering the country on visitor/tourist visa.
The special thing is that even before this, many people coming to the country in the name of tourism have been doing NGO and business related work in India. The Home Ministry has taken strict action on these.
