वाल्सन ने कहा, “अपराध लाइसेंस शर्तों का उल्लंघन करते हुए चांसेस कैसीनो, डोना पाउला, गोवा में अवैध लाइव प्लेइंग कार्ड संचालित करने/खेलने के लिए है।” छापेमारी के दौरान, पुलिस ने लाइव कार्ड जुए की एक टेबल, छह टेबल जब्त कीं। टैबलेट, 52 प्लेइंग कार्ड, एक लाइव कार्ड शफलर, कार्ड स्कैनर, कंप्यूटर मॉनिटर, डीलर मॉनिटर और कैश चिप फ्लोट जिसमें 36 लाख रुपये की विभिन्न चिप्स हैं।

अवैध जुआ खेलने के आरोप में नौ गिरफ्तार
इससे पहले भी 12 नवंबर को, उत्तरी गोवा के धुलेर-मापुसा में नौ अन्य लोगों को भी गोवा पुलिस द्वारा अवैध ऑनलाइन जुआ रैकेट चलाने के आरोप में गिरफ्तार किया गया था। पुलिस ने उनके कब्जे से 3.5 लाख रुपये, मोबाइल फोन और लैपटॉप जब्त किए थे।

वर्तमान में, गोवा में कुल 17 कैसीनो चालू हैं। इनमें से 11 कैसीनो ज़मीन पर हैं, जबकि छह कैसीनो मांडोवी नदी में चल रहे हैं। संबंधित सरकारी अधिकारी अब कैसीनो के सभी प्रमुख कर्मचारियों के लिए पुन: निरीक्षण करेगा। नए लाइसेंस आवेदकों को भी इसी तरह के निरीक्षण से गुजरना होगा।

कंपनी ने हाल ही में अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तर पर 27,000 से अधिक कर्मचारियों और अन्य लोगों की छंटनी की थी। कंपनी के मुताबिक COVID-19 महामारी के दौरान बहुत अधिक लोगों को काम पर रखा था, लिहाजा कंपनी में रिस्ट्रक्चरिंग की जा रही है।

ललित मोदी के संबंधी और डाबर समूह के चेयरमैन मोहित बर्मन और डायरेक्टर गौरव बर्मन का नाम भी अवैध महादेव बैटिंग एप से जुड़ी एफआईआर में शामिल है। मुंबई पुलिस द्वारा दायर एफआईआर में कुल 31 लोगों का नाम है, उनमें डाबर समूह के मुखिया का नाम भी शामिल है। जो एफआईआर हुई है, उसमें 15 हज़ार करोड़ रुपये के घोटाले का जिक्र किया गया है।

समाजिक कार्यकर्ता प्रकाश बानकर की शिकायत पर 7 नवंबर को हुई एफआईआर में महादेव एप की सब्सिडरी खिलाड़ी एप से जुड़े हुए लोगों पर एफआईआर दर्ज की गई है। ख़ास बात ये है कि डाबर समूह के मोहित बर्मन और गौरव बर्मन आईपीएल टीम किंग्स11 पंजाब के मालिक भी हैं। पूर्व मंत्री सुब्रहमण्यम स्वामी ने भी मोहित बर्मन पर आरोप लगाया था कि वो अवैध गैंबलिंग के पैसे को किंग्स11 पंजाब में लगा रहे हैं।
