India’s 9th consecutive win in the World Cup: Beat Netherlands by 160 runs, Iyer-Rahul scored centuries

India continues its winning campaign in the World Cup 2023. The team defeated Netherlands by 160 runs in the last league match. This is India’s ninth consecutive victory in the World Cup. For the first time, Team India has won nine consecutive matches in a World Cup.

Batting after winning the toss, Team India scored 410 runs for 4 wickets in 50 overs at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. In reply, Netherlands team was all out for 250 runs in 47.5 overs.

From Team India, Shreyas Iyer scored unbeaten 128 runs and KL Rahul scored 102 runs. Captain Rohit Sharma (61 runs), Shubman Gill (51 runs) and Virat Kohli (51 runs) played half-century innings. In bowling, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammad Siraj, Ravindra Jadeja and Kuldeep Yadav took 2 wickets each. Captain Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli also got one wicket each. Iyer continued his strong performance in the World Cup and scored a brilliant century. He scored 94 runs for 128 runs and his strike rate was more than 136. KL Rahul also scored 102 runs in just 64 balls.

In the last 7.5 overs, Netherlands team lost 4 wickets in scoring 60 runs. Dutch batsman Teja Nidamanuru completed the third ODI fifty of his career. He scored 54 runs. He was caught by Indian captain Rohit Sharma at the hands of Shami. Netherlands team was all out in 47.5 overs.
