Illegal gambling sites are holding exhibitions in Goa to expand their network

Foreign illegal companies are continuously promoting gambling and betting in the country. One such foreign company is going to organize an exhibition on gambling marketing and network expansion in the country in collaboration with betting and gambling sites in Goa.
‘SPiCE India’ (Strategic Platform for iGaming Conference & Exhibition India) is being conducted by one Hong Kong based company Eventus International Limited from 27-29 February, 2024 in Marriott Goa Resort & Spa, Miramar (details about the event available on the website : https://www.sportsbettingevents.com/spice-india and https://www.sportsbettingevents.com/spice-sponsors-exhibitors).
Major sponsors of this event, include several illegal websites and apps banned in India including 1xBet, Mega Pari, Melbet, All Bet, DST Gaming etc.
According to industry sources, Several foreigners and Indian citizens who are promoters of illegal gambling/betting apps and websites are likely to congregate and be present at the event besides other individuals/companies who are facilitating payments/money-laundering and hawala transactions for such websites. , offering marketing and other ancillary services to illegally promote advertisements of such websites etc.
The said event SPiCE India is being organized by Eventus International Limited and its CEO Yudi Soetjiptadi, COO Lou-Mari Burnett, COO Josh Blom along with other foreigners are likely to be present in the country, without taking due permission from Ministry of Home Affairs and /or other relevant authorities, while entering the country on visitor/tourist visa.
The special thing is that even before this, many people coming to the country in the name of tourism have been doing NGO and business related work in India. The Home Ministry has taken strict action on these.
