इस साल गेमिंग का सबसे बड़ा अवार्ड बाल्डर्स गेट-3 (Baldur’s Gate 3) को दिया गया है। इस गेम ने ना सिर्फ बेस्ट गेम ऑफ द ईयर का अवार्ड (Best game of the year) जीता है, बल्कि इस गेम ने पांच दूसरी कटैगरी में भी पुरस्कार हासिल किए हैं। जिस तरह से फिल्म के लिए आस्कर होता है, उसी तरह गेमिंग के सबसे बड़े अवार्ड्स गेम अवार्ड्स (टीजीए) 2023 का रंगारंग कार्यक्रम शुक्रवार रात को हुआ।
लारियन स्टूडियोज के बाल्डर्स गेट 3 ने न केवल गेम ऑफ द ईयर बल्कि पांच और श्रेणियों में कई अन्य पुरस्कार भी हासिल किए। इनमें शामिल हैं – बाल्डर्स गेट 3 में एस्टारियन की भूमिका निभाने के लिए नील न्यूबॉन को सर्वश्रेष्ठ प्रदर्शन का पुरस्कार, सर्वश्रेष्ठ सामुदायिक समर्थन, सर्वश्रेष्ठ आरपीजी, सर्वश्रेष्ठ मल्टीप्लेयर गेम और प्लेयर्स वॉयस पुरस्कार। इसके बाद सबसे अच्चा प्रदर्शन रेमेडी एंटरटेनमेंट के एलन वेक 2 ने किया। जिसने इस अवार्ड के तीन पुरस्कार हासिल किए, इनमें बेस्ट नरैटिव, बेस्ट आर्ट डायरेक्शन और बेस्ट गेम डायरेक्शन।
इस अवार्ड फंक्शन में पर्सनल कंप्यूटर्स, कंसोल और मोबाइल गेम्स में दुनियाभर के सभी प्रमुख गेम्स को परखा गया और फिर उनमें से चुनिंदा गेम्स को अवार्ड दिया। इस अवार्ड फंक्शन में अगले साल आने वाले कुछ गेम्स को भी शोकेस किया गया।
इस साल गेमिंग की दुनिया में कई हिट गेम देखने को मिले, जिनका दुनिया भर के खिलाड़ियों ने लुत्फ़ उठाया। दरअसल पिछले कुछ वर्षों में 2023 को गेमिंग के लिए सबसे अच्छा साल माना जा रहा है। जोकि आने वाले सालों में और तेज़ी से बढ़ेगी।
