The administration raided a gambling den in Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand. During this period, 20 people including 14 policemen were arrested from the spot. It is being told that Rs 1.5 lakh has also been recovered from them. Interrogation of all the accused is going on in Gonda police station. In the capital Ranchi, Gonda police station has raided Misir Gonda and arrested 20 people including 14 policemen on gambling charges. Everyone is being interrogated at Gonda police station.
SSP Chandan Sinha is continuously campaigning against gambling. SSP had received information that gambling was going on on a large scale in Misir Gonda. The SSP formed a team and ordered a raid.
When the team reached Misir Gonda area to raid, the gambling policemen were not bothered. Policemen got entangled with the team that had gone to raid. After this, action was taken and all the accused were arrested and brought to the police station.
Police have recovered Rs 3.5 lakh and eight bundles of cards from the accused. All the accused will be sent to jail on Monday morning. After being arrested, the accused tried to escape by lobbying at many places. Gambling took place every day in Misir Gonda.
There was a gathering in the police station from morning till evening
There was a gathering of people in Gonda police station from morning till evening. Many people had gathered in the police station to free the arrested accused. But the police took immediate action in this matter and registered an FIR and detained the accused.
Gambling is prevalent in many areas of the city. Gambling is especially prevalent in Dhurwa, Pithoria, Lalpur, Kantatoli and Sukhdev Nagar areas.

Babulal Marandi has tweeted on Twitter that late last night a policeman and other people were caught gambling in Gonda police station area of Ranchi. These policemen themselves were gambling and were also getting others to gamble. The most important thing in this whole matter is that some of these policemen are working in the Chief Minister’s residence and this fact has been completely hidden. The matter is being swept under the rug somehow.
