The core team means that there will be scope for changes without the approval of the ICC. But the ICC has set September 28 as the last date for announcing the final 15-member team for the World Cup. That is, after September 28, there will be no change without the approval of the ICC.
The Indian team may be announced on September 3.
Before that, all 10 countries will have to declare their final team. Some countries, including Australia and England, have announced their teams. But now it is the turn of the Indian team to be announced. India’s core team for the World Cup can have more than 15 players.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is likely to announce its squad for the Icc Cricket World Cup on September 3, 2023.
According to the information, the BCCI can announce its 15-member team on September 3, in which 2 players can be kept as reserves, this reserve player can be fast bowler Prasidh Krishna and spin all-rounder Tilak Verma.

The BCCI has selected a 17-member squad for the Asia Cup 2019, in which wicketkeeper-batsman Sanju Samson has been kept in reserve. Samson has been taken as a replacement for KL Rahul. Rahul is struggling with a minor injury. There are doubts about Rahul playing in the first match against Pakistan in the Asia Cup. Even if he does not play this match. He will have a place in the World Cup squad.

It is also worth noting that after the Asia Cup and just before the World Cup, the Indian team has to play a 3-match ODI series against Australia at home. The series will end on September 27. In this series, the BCCI will have a good opportunity to try their team. While the next day i.e. on September 28, a 15-member team will also have to be submitted for the World Cup.
